Monoline Property
As a Lloyd’s coverholder, Wilmington Insurance Agency maintains property facilities to cover a variety of properties – from offices to retail, mercantile and habitational risks. We have authority for properties up to $5 million in TIVs. Our targeted underwriting footprint is Maryland and Virginia, but we also provide coverage solutions across the U.S. We write medium to low-hazard business in our binder but also have market access for more difficult-to-place accounts and higher limits.
Homeowners
Our homeowners policy covers the dwelling, other structures on the property, personal property, and loss of use. Available endorsements include: scheduled limits and blanket limits on an all-risk basis on specifically described property; a miscellaneous property floater for any property not specifically provided for under other endorsements; valuable articles on an all-risk basis with a blanket limit for furs, jewelry and silverware; coverage for “all causes of loss” on an actual cash value or specified limit basis on boats, motors and related equipment.
Small Commercial Package
Wilmington Insurance Agency offers modified BOP and package policies for coastal businesses throughout the MidAtlantic. In lieu of having to track down a monoline liability carrier, you can provide a bundled solution through us. Our Wic Pak endorsements offer a comprehensive bundle of property and liability coverages to meet your client’s needs. We provide standard market coverages for coastal properties at prices more competitive than the traditional E&S market.
Deductable Buybacks
A wind buy-back policy can provide an additional layer of protection in areas where requirements for insurance deductibles have become exceedingly high. It exclusively covers wind damage and serves to help satisfy a homeowner’s deductible, which must first be exhausted before the homeowners coverage applies. An insured whose property sustains wind damage from a hurricane must first pay their deductible, after which the wind buy-back policy applies, and then their regular homeowners’ policy. Let’s say your client has a 5% wind deductible on a $500,000 property. The client will have to pay the first $25,000 worth of damage. The client can choose to reduce his or her wind deductible. Under a wind buy-back policy, the insured, under a separate policy, could cover all or a portion of their deductible.
Habitational
Wilmington Insurance Agency provides property and liability coverage solutions to coastal habitational risks. We understand the complex risks and unique characteristic of property owners and associations, and provide agents with the product and delivery support to write habitational accounts. We will work with you to get competitive pricing while also providing the scope of coverage needed.
Wind / Flood
Hurricanes, tornadoes and storms cause billions of dollars in damage ever year, recently evidenced by the trifecta of destructive storms we experienced in 2017. These claims put significant stress on your clients when they have to pay large premiums for coverage with high deductibles. Wilmington Insurance Agency can help with a variety of solutions: Buy down deductibles to a level financially sustainable for your client. Quote wind-only policies to match with your markets for other lines. Overcome low wind limits with excess wind coverage to extend coverage to the full value of your client’s property.

Wilmington Insurance Agency is available to help support your program needs in a number of ways: We can help you develop a new product concept or niche from cradle to grave, including assistance with the deployment and underwriting of the product line(s).
